Frequently Asked Questions About the School Safety and Security Grant Program

We spent some time on the PCCD website and if you’re interested in receiving grant funding, we recommend you do the same. Here are a few FAQs that folks like you posed:

Q: If my school received funding last year, is it eligible this year?

A: Yes.

Q: Can our alternative education agency apply for funding?

A: Eligibility is defined by the PA Department of Education’s classification of your school entity. If your school is part of a  school district, intermediate unit, area career, and technical school, charter school, cyber charter school, regional charter school, approved private school, chartered school for the education of the deaf or the blind, or private residential rehabilitative institution, then you can apply for competitive funding.

Q: Are Career and Technology Centers eligible for meritorious grant funding?

A: No. However, you can apply for the 2019-2020 competitive funds.
