Bernard’s extensive public safety and security career includes a breadth of roles that gives him a rare 360-degree perspective. He has served as a guard force provider, security integrator, emergency preparedness specialist, business development manager, end-user, and client. Under Bernard’s leadership, the LARGO security team is uniquely qualified to handle your public safety needs and security projects.
A self-motivated professional who worked his way up the industry, Bernard started as a security officer with SpectaGuard (now Allied Universal) and rose to hold senior and executive positions at SpectaGuard, Professional Security Bureau, Drexel University, USciences, and Unlimited Technology. Bernard is an active member of ASIS International and a Board-Certified Security Professional with the designation of Certified Protection Professional (CPP). Bernard has served in various ASIS roles, including Chair of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter and an ASIS School Safety and Security Council member.
Led by Bernard, the LARGO team provides physical security assessments and solutions, including electronic security systems, emergency preparedness, business continuity and crisis management, communication plans, team building, training, and project management. Bernard developed VIZION20XX, a physical security assessment process that brings physical security expertise and an extensive network of professional relationships to the table with clients to enhance and future-proof security and safety programs.

Rita has two decades of c-suite level experience spent honing her skills in business operations, leading multigenerational and diverse teams, and rolling out game-changing initiatives. Areas of expertise include marketing and brand engagement, strategic planning, operations, and efficient and effective use of resources.
Rita has developed and implemented successful solutions for housing and food services, retail management, event services, parking, print and mail services, public/private partnerships, and business and procurement services. Responsibilities included oversight of facilities comprising 2.5M square feet, an annual budget exceeding $100M, and logistics related to major political and cultural events.
Rita’s work has been recognized nationally, including a Models of Efficiency award from University Business magazine, the College Foodservice Excellence award from On-Campus Hospitality magazine, and multiple marketing awards from the Hermes Creative Awards and the ADDY Awards of the American Advertising Federation.
As president of LARGO Consulting Services, LLC, Rita has built a talented team that can quickly mobilize to respond to market opportunities and deliver solutions for our clients. Team members at the top of their fields work directly with clients to deliver a customized approach that meets the client’s needs and budget.
