BLOGS AND NEWS | October 1, 2024
With building crises around the world, the anniversary of the attack by Hamas on Israel, and the US elections, there is a strong possibility of Civil Disruption.

Civil disruption, also known as civil disorder or civil unrest, is an incident that disrupts a community and requires intervention to maintain public safety. These incidents may be attributed to various social, political, economic, and environmental causes and may be planned or spontaneous.

One of the most important things to managing a civil disturbance is leadership. Leaders must be able to display the following traits to help navigate their business or educational institution through any incident, emergency, or disaster.

    • Decisiveness
    • Resilience
    • Empathy
    • Communication
    • Vision

Although most civil disturbances will be peaceful and uneventful, it is wise to BE PREPARED if things escalate.

The BE PREPARED: Civil Disruption Awareness presentation includes summary information on:

    • Risk Mitigation
    • Emergency Response Planning
    • Proactive Communication Strategies
    • Practical Exercise Implementation
